16 June: Parkes — Coonabarabran

Matilda will today be travelling from Parkes, NSW to Coonabarabran, NSW.moonresizedDid you know that the Parkes Radio Telescope was described as “the most successful scientific instrument ever built in Australia”? It has has helped NASA on many occasions, like relaying the Apollo 11 moon landing on 20 July 1969

Seems apt that today I am in Parkes to announce an ambitious plan to put a donkey on the moon! Once there are no trees left in Australia, what else are Urban and I to do? We will do anything to save the Koala.
