Today Matilda is in Gunnedah, NSW.

Key messages/issues for today:

Climate change and global warming is going to have a significant impact in Outback Australia. Matilda is extremely concerned for Australia’s precious water resources. Nowhere is this more important than Outback Australia.

As she travels through the food bowl of Australia, Matilda is very concerned that we are destroying prime agricultural land to develop mines.

The science supporting many of these mining applications is fatally biased. The science is not independent; the consultants are paid by the miners to get them permission.

Mine site rehabilitation is simply never going to happen.
